Sarawak BN given fresh mandate

KUCHING: Barisan Nasional (BN) retained its two-thirds majority in the just concluded state election when it captured 55 of the 71 seats contested.

The two-thirds majority victory was announced by the Election Commission at 10.20pm last night. PBB retained its unbeaten run with 35 seats, SUPP won 6, PRS 8 and SPDP 6.
