Peter Deines has resigned as Penn State's faculty Ombuds due to health reasons. David (Duff) Gold, who served as the first University Ombuds from 1998-2006, will serve out the remainder of Deines' term. Before stepping down, Deines reported handling 46 cases in the 2007-08 academic year.
