The private liberal arts college has appointed Carrie A. Knell as its next Ombudsperson. Knell graduated from Ohio University and earned a JD at the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. In addition to her quarter-time position as Kenyon's Ombuds, Knell also works as a Staff Attorney and Mediator for the Knox County Common Pleas Court.
In an interview, Knell was asked what makes her a good mediator. She said, "I enjoy helping people who are in a difficult situation or a stressful situation. I'm a good listener and I'm good at being non-judgmental." (Kenyon Today.)
