The Classical Ombuds program for King County, WA reports that it handled 2,950 complaints and inquiries from County residents and employees last year. Nearly all cases were resolved within one month and a scant 3% resulted in a formal investigation. Most cases were resolved through information and direct assistance. Total cases have risen 113% from 1386 in 2003. (King County Ombudsman 2010 Report.)
