U.S. District Judge Frank C. Damrell Jr. has urged top officials in the Obama administration to decide whether to continue to pursue the nearly 2-year-old case against Harrison Jack, the first-ever Ombuds for Yolo County.  Jack and eight Hmong community leaders are charged with plotting a violent overthrow of Laos' communist government.  (Woodland Daily Democrat.)  The county has not refilled the Ombuds position.
