The Forum of Canadian Ombudsman is sponsoring a one-day workshop by Chris Wheeler, Deputy New South Wales Ombudsman, "Dealing with Unreasonable Complainant Behaviour." The program will take place in Toronto on October 7, 2010.
Wheeler's workshop is based on the approach developed by the Australian Parliamentary Ombuds Offices, and covers:
- Defining and identifying types of unreasonable behavior
- Developing useful guidelines and a range of strategies that work
- Tailoring response to the complainant’s behavior
- Managing cases with effective and consistent approaches
The workshop fee includes breakfast and is $300 CDN plus GST for FCO members and staff and $400 CDN plus GST for non-FCO participants. Group discounts are available. (FCO Course Info.)
