Tommie C. Howard, UF University Ombudsman, is retiring later this month after four decades of service to his campus. Howard has served as the UFL Ombuds since he was promoted from Assistant Ombuds in 2000 and his retirement has been repeatedly postponed while the University searches for his replacement.
The UF Undergraduate Advising Council called Howard a "UF legend" and said his institutional memory was unrivaled. Howard has been active in IOA and most recently served on 2007-08 Conference Oversight Committee. (UF Advisor.)
