U. Alabama Names Faculty Ombuds
The Faculty Senate of the University of Alabama has appointed Dr. Michael T. Dugan as the new faculty Ombuds. Dugan is the Ernst & Young Professor of Accounting and has published over 35 articles in various academic and professional journals in accounting, economics, and finance. He is the recipient of five teaching awards, including the National Alumni Association's Outstanding Commitment to Teaching Award. He is a member of the American Accounting Association, the Financial Management Association, Beta Alpha Psi, and Beta Gamma Sigma. (UA Faculty Senate Meeting Minutes; UA Faculty Profile.)
