NASA Discover Object Not Previously Known
NASA is happy because his new telescope WISE find a variety of sky objects never before seen by other telescopes.
NASA scientists using the spacecraft costing U.S. $ 320 million (USD 2 trillion) managed to identify millions of celestial body that has never seen, including stars, astroid, a cloud of dust, comets and even a new galaxy. Using technology, Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE), NASA telescope said they managed to detect 25 thousand new astroid since the beginning of operations last year.
Astronomers say nearly 100 celestial body is said adjacent to the earth is 30 million miles (48 million kilometers) without potential harm. This telescope also managed to capture 15 new comets, as well as hundreds of stars and failed to ensure the presence of 20 dwarfs, some of which is the coldest object ever built.
WISE also detect ultra-luminous galaxy located more than 10 billion light years away from other galaxies. These findings make the U.S. happy aerospace department, as quoted from the Telegraph, most of these objects not previously seen by other telescopes.
NASA discovered asteroids that are close to the earth, and on average larger than the object ever discovered by a telescope before. Operation of the vehicle that allows to calculate the potential danger to Earth Asteroid better.
WISE managed to scan the entire sky on the last Saturday before starting next round of scans in which NASA wants to see more objects. Before the end of the year, researchers believe can find millions of new cosmic object that answers questions about how planets, stars and galaxies formed.
"We record everything in the universe started from near earth objects that make up the galaxy," said project scientist, Dr. Peter Eisenhardt of NASA's Jet Propulsion Labolatory governing mission.
A scientist Richard Binzel of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology said the telescope was able to "see" almost all the dust into the impenetrable light by utilizing a hot object that is not visible in ordinary telescopes.
"Most of the telescope focuses on the hottest object in the universe" he said.
"However, WISE seemed very sensitive to see what the cold and dark and the object is often called a trick on the universe."
WISE 16-inch telescope was invented by the Space Dynamics Laboratory, Utah State University who was in the circle of the earth as high as 300 miles and take a picture every 11 seconds in the entire sky.
