Researchers said the First Images of the Universe
Satellite 600 million euros (Rp6, 9 trillion) European Space Agency was launched last year. September, this telescope images show the first lane of the ancient light and is now fully revealed.
Vehicle was delivered almost one million miles in space to record the origin of the universe. Work Planck Observatory is to look at age, contents and evolution of the universe by studying the heat left by the Big Bang.
The photograph shows what is seen outside the earth through the instrument is sensitive to light with a wavelength that is very long. Which dominates the photo is our Milky Way Galaxy. Bright horizontal line through the center of the image main linkaran galaxy and where the sun and the earth is located.
Also seen a huge explosion of cold dust that reaches thousands of light years above and below the galaxy. Scientists will spend years analyzing the images to better understand how the universe could be like now.
"What you see is the structure of our galaxy in the gas and dust, which tells us a lot of things going on around the sun and it tells us much about how galaxies form when we compare with other galaxies," said Professor Andrew Jaffe, a member of Planck team from Imperial College London told BBC News.
