The FDIC is hiring its first "Internal Ombudsman." The position reports to the Chairman of the FDIC and will serve as a neutral and independent third party dispute resolution practitioner whose major function is to provide confidential and informational assistance to managers and employees of the FDIC. The position is thus quite different from the existing FDIC Ombuds program that serves local customers of banks taken over by the agency.
Applicants must have experience serving as an impartial intermediary, confidential consultant and/or expert evaluator responsible for resolving conflict, mediating disagreements or personal disputes, and solving problems to promote a fair, open, and productive work environment. The job is located in Washington, DC. A background investigation will be required. The GS-15 position pays $128,835 to $213,164 per year and applications are due February 28, 2012. (USAJobs.)
