DAP is playing very dangerous games in politics by playing on the sentiment of Christian people that they are being marginalized and the non-Bumiputras that they are being discriminated against in the civil service and the socio-economic development of the State. The Christian people must search their conscience and reflect on such allegations by DAP. So also for the Chinese before they cast their votes tomorrow in Sarawak’s 10th State Election.
These are some of the lies and falsehood being spread by the Opposition, the DAP in particular in trying to arouse the hatred of the people towards the State Government. Of course, leaders of PKR and DAP, who are ghosts and demons themselves have been making concerted efforts to demonise the Chief Minister, Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud and other leaders of Barisan Nasional.
Obviously, they criticize and curse other people and everything being done by the government for the people in order to shift the blames from them. If the people know that Pulau Pinang being governed by DAP is going down, Selangor by PKR is running short of money, Kedah by PAS as a no action government and Kelantan by PAS, being the poorest state in the country, they will reject the opposition.

Sarawak has found an unexpected friend in the person of Huan Cheng Guan, Vice President of Parti Cinta Malaysia, who has strongly urged Sarawakians not to vote for DAP or its partners. To do so they risk seeing people from Peninsula taking over the State as what is happening in Penang now. They will import their people to Sarawak for bounty. This is what DAP has been doing in Penang. DAP treats the local people badly.
Huan Cheng Guan says both DAP and PKR are No.1 in telling lies and spinning stories. They will promise everything under the sun just to fish for votes.
He highlights the following:
Lim Guan Eng is a short-tempered man who likes to quarrel with everyone;
DAP governs Pulau Pinang with no vision;
DAP means deceive all people;
Upon taking over the Penang government, DAP increases the water tariff and parking fees;
DAP promises to implement road signs in Chinese in Penang but till today has not made good on that; and
Lim Guan Eng cannot take criticisms.
President of Parti Bersatu Sabah, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan says Anwar Ibrahim cannot be trusted as he has made many promises that until today remain unfulfilled. If he has done that in the past he will not hesitate to do it now and in the futureTan Sri Pairin, who is also Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah says Anwar is smart, cunning and will do anything even lying and making empty promises to win support from the people just like what he has done in Sabah.
Look at the way he has played out, the former State assemblyman for Padungan, Dominique Ng, who was dropped by PKR from defending his seat after they switched it with DAP.
Both Sarawak and Sabah know Anwar Ibrahim for a long time. He was recruited and raised up by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed. His first appointment was as the Minister of youth and sports. He made a meteoric rise from the Minister of Youth and Sports to become the Minister of Education and Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance.
It was the sign of a very successful leader. But what has he done even for his own parliamentary constituency of Pematang Pauh, which he has represented off and on during the past 40 years? Generally, Pematang Pauh, which is the sub-urban are of Pinang city is still considered as backward; even Serian is more progressive than Pematang Pauh. The backwardness of Pematang Pauh is the true reflection of the Anwar Ibrahim as the de factor leader of PKR.
As voters, the people os Sarawak must ask ourselves if Anwar cannot even develop his own constituency, how will he develop Sarawak, which is a distant away from the Federal Capital or the development of Malaysia as a whole towards the year 2020 and beyond.
Anwar made a big lie by claiming that 30 MPs from Sarawak and Sabah had already agreed to switch side to enable him to form a new government on September 16, 2008. He even claimed that the Yang di Pertuan Agung had already consented to his appointment as the new Prime Minister. But on September 16, he came out from Parliament like a cock with wet wings after having caught in the rain. This is the kind of person Anwar is as the leader of PKR.
Obviously Anwar makes decisions based on his own whims and fancies. That explains why most of his followers have left him. This is anwar’s brand of leadership. He must criticize other people to make himself looks good. Baru Bian has lost three times in the elections but the PKR still nominate him to contest in the elections. This is the classic example that Anwar does not respect the voice of the majority of peopleThe people of Sarawak are very knowledge of the fact that Lim Kit Siang has been the supremo of DAP for 42 years. He has been very skilful in manipulating the party to appoint his son to take over from him and his subsequent appointment as the Chief Minister of Pulau Pinang. His daughter in law( Lim Guan Eng’s wife) is a State Assemblywoman for Melaka.
The father and son partnership failed in Malacca and moved to Pulau Pinang. That is the politics and leadership of Lim Kit Siang. He is doing the worse form of nepotism but still insisting that they are no wrong. Others cannot do what he has been doing.
The people in Sarawak know fully well the success of Penang is attributable to the leadership of the late Tun Lim Chong Eu and Tan Sri Dr. Koh Su Koon as former Chief Ministers. Lim Guan Eng has been the Chief Minister for about three years but he is slowly bringing Pulau Pinang down the hill. Selangor was once a rich state but now it is experiencing shortage of fund even for recurrent expenditure, not need to talk about development, after only after three years of rule by PKR. These are happening in States being governed by PKR, DAP and PAS.
Sarawak is blessed to have Pehin Sri Abdul Taib as the leader. The success of Samarahan, which Pehin Sri Abdul Taib used to represent both in Dewan Undangan Negeri and Parliament being transformed from a traditional fishing village to become a centre of excellence in the Southern region if not for the whole state, is proof of this.
When he moved to Mukah, upon the request of the people, the once sleepy town is being transformed to become a Smart city, which will house RECODA to coordinate the development of Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) a gigantic development program. Even now Mukah has grown two times bigger than what it used to be.
The people must vote for Barisan Nasional to keep Sarawak in safe hand and that it will be able to move forward towards the year 2020 and beyond. Only Barisan Nasional will use the mandate from the people judiciously to move Sarawak forward. Barisan Nasional will have the power, experience and capable leaders to provide good governance for Sarawak. The component parties are well organized and the leaders know how to inject new blood into the parties and the leadership in a proper manner.
