Also mentioned as a possible applicant is Sandy Jo MacArthur, the Deputy Chief for LAPD's Training Group and a former Assistant Ombuds Officer and Mediator. The LAPD's Ombuds Office was created in 1997 to assist the Department's LAPD's 12,000 employees resolve conflicts.
